DREAM AGAIN
Something within me whispers, “You have to dream again.”
Yet fear grips me
for the dreams I once held close were shattered.
Is it too late to dream again?
Will they once more be confined to mere words on paper?
Will they ever take shape in reality?
The Lord reminds me, “Without vision, My people perish.”
And somewhere I once read, “Cowards don’t dream.”
I don’t want to perish, nor live as a coward.
That last ounce of strength in me
has been clutching onto those fading dreams,
hoping they would rise again one day.
Should I reach for them once more
those dim, colourless fragments of hope
and breathe life into them again?
Will they resurrect, or turn to ashes as before?
Then I hear a tender whisper,
“Riya, I was the One who taught you to dream.
I am the One asking you to dream again.
For I am able to turn your faded sketches
into a beautiful, living canvas.”
