A SHOUT FOR THE BLOOD

Each of us has felt it at some point: the longing for a voice to rise up for us when we’re misunderstood or wrongly accused. That heart cry is more than emotional, it’s spiritual. What many don’t realize is that such a voice already exists. It’s not just a voice from the past, but one that still speaks today. It’s the voice of the blood of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 12:24 tells us that Jesus’ blood “speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.” His blood still speaks, declaring life, protection, forgiveness, and victory. And every broken place in our lives shouts for its power. BEING EXPOSED SHOUTS FOR THE NEED OF THE BLOOD The urgency of our need for the blood is seen as far back as the Garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve sinned, their eyes were opened to their nakedness. Exposure brought shame, and shame drove them to cover themselves with fig leaves (Genesis 3:7).
